FAQ

Our current hire fleet consists of:

  • 50 mopeds
  • 110cc & 125cc scooters
  • 125cc geared bikes

You can apply from a number of locations on our website, look out for the red apply button, this will take you through to the application form, once completed we will email you a link to the DVLA so we can check your licence, as soon as this is done we will be in contact. 

Our hire fees are all inclusive they include:

  • Road Tax
  • 24 Hour AA breakdown & recovery
  • Free exchanges when required
  • VAT

You are responsible for any accidental damage to the bike up to our insurance contribution of £450. This could include things such as a punctured tyre or scuffs and scrapes to the bike. 
If you abuse or misuse the bike, or fail to carry out basic maintenance such as topping up oil or using chain lube then you may be liable for the full cost of any repairs.

  • Ignition Key Replacement: If you lose the key, the replacement fee is £30 per key or £100 per remote.
  • Tickets, violations processing fee: You are also responsible for any PCN’s (Penalty Charge Notice’s) or fines during your hire. 
  • Damage Fee: Up to £450 to cover the costs related to any damage.
  • Missing Lock: If our bike is returned and the lock is not on the vehicle you will be charged £34.99.

Simply ring Scoots Hire on 01362 799970 and we will arrange to either service the bike for you or deliver a replacement vehicle.

All of our bikes come with insurance so if you have an accident or damage the vehicle you will only be liable for any repair costs up to the contribution in the terms and conditions, this is capped at £450. Any costs over and above the contribution will either be absorbed by Scoots Hire or claimed through insurance.

All of our bikes are insured, simply pay the weekly hire fee and your insurance is covered. (A policy excess of £450 applies, please check your terms and conditions for details)

You may only use our Honda Vision 50cc & 110CC “Delivery Bikes” for deliveries at this time
